As part of our elopement series, we’ll be looking at beautiful places all over the world where you can, and should, elope. And this week, we’re looking northwards to the wild landscapes of beautiful Scotland.
Did you know that, unlike England and Wales, you can get married basically anywhere in Scotland? No roofs needed! And with Gretna Green ensuring the romantic connotations of this wild land, there are more than a lions share of stunning places to get wed north of Hadrian’s Wall.
With glens, mountaintops, forests, beaches and loch banks to choose from, Scotland is the perfect escape for an elopement wedding. No big parties, just you, your fiancé, celebrant and witnesses and the great outdoors. Oh, and don’t forget your photographer!
