Sometimes it’s nice to mix a little bit of classic chicness to a rustic, country wedding. Which is why we love Meghan and Eric’s big day, shot by the ever so talented, Nick Nguyen. Letting their venue, the Brodie Homestead, speak for itself this lovely couple kept things tasteful, laidback and full of emotion for their guests.
Meghan’s BHLDN dress set the tone for her wedding day…light, uncomplicated and completely effortless…much akin to the styling for the remainder of the event. The bridesmaids wore navy to complement the groomsmen, and the flowers were a mixture of lush greenery, white peonies and roses, and white scabiosa heads. Nikk, the photographer, explains more…
“Shooting Meghan and Eric’s wedding at Brodie Homestead was such a great experience for me. The Austin, Texas venue they chose was absolutely adorable! As a renovated barn turned wedding venue it had the perfect combination of rustic and elegance. But the venue wasn’t the best part by a long shot.
Getting the opportunity to work with Meghan and Eric and be a part of capturing their special day was by far my highlight! It’s wonderful people like these two that make it easy to forget you’re actually working. After witnessing their fun and playful interactions with each other you can’t help but feel relaxed and at ease. It was evident how perfect these two were for each other by how they were able to fully be themselves and how being themselves only encouraged the other to do the same.
This truly was an unforgettable experience for me and even though it was super hot, the temperature didn’t slow anyone down for a minute! If you take a look through my blog you’ll see that Meghan and Eric’s special day was a breath-taking day filled with a lot of tears and laughter.” Nikk Nguyen
